TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Coca Cola mural outside of the Vigo County History Center is now gone.
The History Center’s executive director Marla Flowers said that they are around 25% to completion of this project.
She says that they are currently in the process of cutting out the mortar around every single brick. Flowers added that they will then replace that with new mortar that should last for the next 20 to 40 years.
She said that this mural is not something that they ever want to lose.
“It has turned into a beautiful, iconic, gateway to downtown Terre Haute and we are so proud to have that and are fully committed to bringing it back,” she said.
