VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — On Wednesday, WTWO sat down with Bill Rennels, one of the Republican candidates for Vermillion County Commissioner, Dist. 1.
Rennels says, the county has 7,000 acres of opportunity at the former chemical depot site. If he were elected county commissioner, he said he hopes to bring more jobs to the county as well as options for affordable housing and daycare.
Rennels also discussed helping expand internet access to see it in every home in the county.
He believes his knowledge and experience in education and business makes him a qualified candidate to achieve those goals.
“I look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of Vermillion County. And if given that opportunity I will do the best I can for the county and listen to all people. I’m not just a Republican, I serve all of the people. It’s not partisan, as far as achievements, they need to be achieved to help satisfy the best ability of all needs,” Rennels said.
As we near the election, WTWO will continue conversations with the candidates. The Indiana primary election day is on May 7th.
